Science with a Twist presents "Dino Wine-OH!: Part Deux"
Thursday, May 15 - 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Come learn the science of wine tasting as you sample delicious offerings from local wineries. The evening will be lead by Jake Kosseff, the 2006 Chaine des Rotisseurs "Best Young Sommelier in America" and Seattle Magazine's "Best Sommelier" 2007. Local favorite, Pocket Change will be jazzing up the evening with their funk inspired tunes! Participating wineries include Chandler Reach, Willis Hall, Wilridge Winery, Chateau Ste Michelle and Animale Wine. The event takes place in our Dinosaur Hall, where you'll be surrounded by Pacific Science Center's moving, roaring dinosaurs. Just the One of Us - It was another infectious night of fun under the arches when Science With A Twist guests gathered to celebrate the release of I Am Legend: The IMAX Experience! Our aspiring scientists tested their knowledge of viruses (and Will Smith films) during Legendary Trivia, competing to win an IMAX survival pack. They also had the chance to check out a 2007 Shelby Mustang GT500 courtesy of Bickford Ford, complete with signature racing stripes - just like the one Will Smith drives in the film! After grabbing "The Antidote" from our bar, many listened to UW Biologist Carl Bergstrom's presentation "Gene Therapy Gone Awry" where they learned the truth behind the science used in the film. Finally, the night was capped off with a private screening of I Am Legend in the Boeing IMAX Theater, Seattle's biggest screen in town!
