Membership Definition of Terms and Policies

Household Member
A household member is defined as anyone living under the same roof, but may also include non-live in nannies and grandparents.

Six-Person-Household-Member-Limit
Silver, Gold, Platinum and Titanium memberships have a six-person-household-member-limit; meaning up to six household members fitting the definition of "household member" can be named on a membership at the regular membership price.

Additional Household Members
Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Titanium memberships may have additional household members, above and beyond the six-person-household-member-limit, for an additional $10 per person provided they fit the definition of "household member".

Memberships are Non-Transferable
Members named on a membership can be removed, however they can not be exchanged for another name until the membership is up for renewal. Exceptions to this rule are at the sole discretion of membership management.

Membership ID Cards
Members who purchase or renew their membership onsite are asked to bring the carbon copy of their membership application to the Membership Office to pick-up their membership cards. Members who purchase or renew memberships by phone, through the mail or online will be mailed their membership cards.

Each member will receive a permanent membership card. Adult members with or without membership cards must present a photo ID upon entrance. We do not require photo ID from children. Replacement of lost membership cards can be requested at any time for a fee of $2 per card.

IMAX® Admissions, Exhibit Guest Admissions and Admissions
IMAX admissions and Exhibit Guest admissions are issued based on the membership level purchased. These admissions are electronically tracked in your account and may be accessed on any visit with a current membership card. Feature IMAX Film admissions for Platinum and Titanium members are entered electronically into the account on the first day tickets are available for sale.

To use your IMAX admissions and Exhibit Guest admissions, simply present your membership card and/or photo ID at any ticket booth upon entrance. IMAX admissions may also be redeemed at the Information Desk located in Building One. Platinum members need only to show a valid membership card to gain admission for up to three guests per visit (three guest admissions per membership, not per member). Titanium members need only to show a valid membership card to gain admission for up to five guests per visit (five guest admissions per membership, not per member). Guests must be accompanied by a current member. Exhibit Guest admissions can not be redeemed over the phone or online, only in person. Member IMAX entitlements and Exhibit Guest admissions are not transferable to non-members. IMAX admissions and Exhibit Guest admissions and guest admissions are not valid for Special Engagement exhibits or Feature IMAX Films, unless otherwise noted. Exhibit Guest admissions can not be used on school field trips

Harmonograph Passes
Titanium memberships come with a punch card for five free uses of the Harmonograph. A "use" consists of one free piece of Harmonograph paper and one average length turn creating a harmonograph at the Harmonograph table.

Discounts
Members are privy to many special discounts. To take advantage of discounts onsite, present a valid membership card and photo ID (for adults) at the time of purchase of discounted items. To take advantage of discounts online, through the mail or over the phone, please be prepared to provide your valid membership number at the time of purchase or registration. When picking up tickets or items that have been purchased at a discounted member rate online, through the mail, or over the phone, be prepared to show your valid membership card and photo ID for verification.

Privacy
We do not sell member's information. We may, on occasion, trade member's information with other museums or similar institutions. Members may request not to be solicited or not to be included in information trades. Members have the right to opt out of receiving our e-newsletters. Our members' privacy is important to us and we take all necessary steps to insure that their information is secure.

Right of Refusal
Pacific Science Center has the right to decline membership applications. Pacific Science Center has the right to revoke a membership and its privileges with/or without a partial or full refund issued depending on the particular circumstances if membership abuse or other criminal activity is suspected or found to be occurring.
