Reaching out beyond our
facility to touch lives and inspire learning is an ongoing
goal for Pacific Science Center. The Science Center's
partnership in the LASER (Leadership and Assistance for
Science Education Reform) program is a critical component
of this. Washington State LASER was developed in 1999 as a
partnership between Pacific Science Center, the National
Science Resources Center, the Washington State Office of
Superintendent of Public Instruction, Pacific Northwest
National Laboratories, and Educational Service Districts
and lead school districts from across Washington state.
Mission: To assist school districts with implementing an
ongoing, inquiry-based science program that is built on a
research-based model of systemic reform and aligned with
the Washington State Science Grade Level
Expectations. For more
