A Free Ride To The Arches!

Pacific Science Center and PEMCO Mutual Insurance Company are proud to offer a special program providing free bus transportation for field trip groups to Pacific Science Center. Due to popular demand, the bus is now available through December 2009!

Elementary, Middle, and High Schools are eligible to book the free bus. This is limited to public and private schools within the Seattle School District boundaries and within 30 minutes or less of the First Student bus terminal located at 130 S. Kenyon St., Seattle, WA 98108. Please inquire for more specific details.

Transportation is free; schools are responsible for paying normal field trip rates:

  • Exhibits only: $6 Students, $7 teachers & adults
  • Exhibits + IMAX® film/Laser Show/Planetarium show: $7.50 students, teachers and adults
Here is how the program works:
  • Bus is arranged on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Bus capacity is limited to:
    • Elementary: 65 students & adults
    • Middle/High: 43 students & adults
  • To maximize this opportunity for all, we request you make every effort to fill all seats.
  • Bus pick-up time at school is approximately 9:15 to 9:30 a.m., with arrival at Pacific Science Center at approximately 9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. depending on the location of your school.
  • Bus departure time from Pacific Science Center is between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. When planning to use the PEMCO bus, please plan field trip accordingly.
To register, call Pacific Science Center Registration at (206)443-2925 for both field trip registration and PEMCO Bus requests. Pacific Science Center will communicate reservation with First Student; teachers do not need to make additional arrangements.
