Summer fun is going out with a BANG - or a POP, we should say - this summer at Pacific Science Center. A summer tradition for many years, the annual Bubbles, Boats, & More event is coming again with all its popping, bursting, exploding excitement!

With bubble fun for every level of bubblologist and boat activities for all ages, this event is ready to cater to those in search of a little splash of summertime thrill!

Bubblemania
Bubbles, Boats & More
This year's event features Casey Carle's BubbleMania in Pacific Science Center's Laser Dome. This spectacular display of bubble madness will be performed by current international Bubble Champion Artist and consultant to Cirque du Soleil, Casey Carle. His expert bubble blowing and bubble manipulation skills will be showcased three times a day for visitors to be dazzled and amazed. His performance includes everything from intricate bubble tricks in the palm of his hand, to giant bubbles six feet in diameter, to towering soap tubes large enough to encase an entire audience member! Bubbles, Boats & More
In addition to Casey Carle's performances, many other activities will also take place. These include arts and crafts, bubble blowing, boat races, and kayak rides. Visitors will have the opportunity to create decorative bubble wands and learn how to paint - yes, paint - with bubbles! The Science Center's famous ponds will be transformed into whimsical bubble lands filled with kayak rides and build-a-boat races for the whole family to experience together. On the bandstand there will be bubble-gum blowing contests to see who has the lungs big enough and the lips strong enough to blow the most gigantic, gargantuan bubble! If those activities aren't enough bubble-popping excitement, there will also be the traditional sand pit and bubble stations outdoors next to the bandstand where our Danger Science demonstration will be performed with explosions and deafening booms galore.

Family Science Workshops - Build a Boat and Race It
Bubbles, Boats & More
This year's Bubbles, Boats, & More event will also include "Build a Boat and Race It" Family Science Workshops. During these workshops visitors will design and build boats as a family and then compete in boats races on the ponds!

The workshops are Saturday and Sunday only at 11:00 a.m., 1:30 & 4:00 p.m. The price is $5.00 per person. Just sign up and pay at the door!
