What is
RSS?
Do you get much of your news and information from the
Internet? Do you get tired of having to open a Web browser
every day and bring up site after site? Well, then RSS is
for you.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site
Summary. Basically, it's a way for you to get the
information you want brought to you rather than you going
out to get it. Many news sites offer RSS feeds which allow
you to see headlines with links to the full stories from
such providers as the BBC, Seattle P-I, KOMO Radio &
TV, CNN, Fox News, and many others.
But these days 'news' isn't just the traditional journalism
of the past. It's also information about subjects in which
you are interested. And if Pacific Science Center is one of
those subjects(and you know it should be), then we have
just what you need.
We offer a feed of what's new here at Pacific Science
Center. By subscribing to our feed, free of course, at the
link below or by clicking the orange icon on the home page,
you can keep up with all the happenings here beneath the
arches near the Space Needle.
Need more help with RSS? Then check the
→Wikipedia entry that explains it all. You will need a
RSS reader. →Firefox, →Opera, →Google, →Safari and many others offer RSS capability.
Some are free, some are not.
We hope this helps you enjoy Pacific Science Center that
much more. We'd love to hear your thoughts about RSS or
anything else, for that matter. Just drop us a line
at →feedback@pacsci.org.
And thanks for visiting!
